I am an integrative therapist and use a variety of techniques and approaches to suit individual need which draws from my training in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy, Person-Centred Counselling and Play Therapy.
Open-ended therapy is provided to male and female clients in a safe, confidential and non-judgmental environment, on a one to one basis, usually as weekly sessions lasting 55 minutes. Therapy may be short or long term, the aim of which is to support clients in developing a sense of self wherein they can realize how their attitudes, feelings and behaviour are being negatively affected and find their true positive potential.
I am committed to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in counselling and psychotherapy and abide by the Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) of which I am a member. I have monthly supervision to enable me to assess my work and explore and reflect on my relationship with my client. My supervisor is a qualified practitioner who offers insight and support which enables me to deliver a more informed and potent therapy. Furthermore, I hold an enhanced DBS certificate and am fully insured.
