As a means of looking at different ways in which young people can safely express themselves within their peer groups, Wellbeing Workshops focus on creative expression. Children are encouraged to explore their USP (unique selling point) and produce artworks highlighting what they understand their USP to be and share them within a group.
Workshops also cover music and movement whereby children can participate in a number of exercises which enable them to move freely around the room. One exercise might involve them working with a partner where they are encouraged and supported in expressing themselves with the aid of music. Feelings are identified and matched to music, these can then be mirrored to a partner and reflected upon during a final Circle Time. Previous experience has shown how enthusiastic and creative young people can be in their approach to the workshops.
